The timber we build in, and who does the finishing.
Every job is different, so the timber and the finish change with it. We don't paint staircases or panelling at all.
Chosen for the job.
Accoya
Windows, front doors and gates are manufactured in Accoya wherever the finished product is going to be painted. It barely moves with the weather and it holds paint far longer than standard softwood. It also carries its maker's warranty against rot and decay: 50 years above ground, 25 years for anything set into the ground.
Oak & hardwoods
Where you want to see the timber rather than a colour, we work in oak and other hardwoods.
Some things we finish. Some things we deliberately don't.
Better you know now than at handover.

Windows, front doors & gates
These leave the workshop spray finished, in whatever colour you need. Anything painted is built in Accoya.

Fitted furniture
It depends on the job, so we quote it both ways: spray finished by us before it goes in, or fitted ready for your own decorator. Whichever suits the room and the rest of the work going on.

Staircases, wall panelling & internal doors
We don't paint or oil these. They're fitted ready for decoration, so the finish can be matched to the rest of the room.

Kitchens
Trade kitchen units arrive already finished from the factory, so there's nothing to paint. We also make fully bespoke kitchens, and those are spray painted in the workshop before they come to you.
Discuss a project
Whether it's a single door or a full kitchen, tell us what you have in mind and we'll talk you through how it's done.
